The Cape Breton Fiddlers Marathon is located on the beautiful island of Cape Breton, along Sydney's waterfront. Known for its "Giant Fiddle", Sydney is full of vibrant, friendly runners who will welcome you with a smile. This flat, paved course runs along Sydney's downtown waterfront and serves as a Boston Marathon qualifying race.
Runners will be joined by some of Cape Breton's talented musicians to provide encouragement along the way. On October 17th, participants can take part in the Fiddlers Race Expo held at Victoria Park from 1:00-5:00 p.m. Race kits can also be picked up at Victoria Park between 1:00-5:00 p.m.
Start Times on October 18th, 2026:
• Marathon start time: 8:00 a.m.
• Half marathon start time: 8:50 a.m.
• 10k start time: 8:20 a.m.
• 5k start time: 8:40 a.m.
All races start and finish at Victoria Park.
Online registration will be closed on October 16th.
